Hi.

Welcome to this little nook on the internet!

I'm in love...WITH SÉZANE.

I'm in love...WITH SÉZANE.

Here's the thing with Sézane. Every time one of their emails hits my inbox, my immediate thought is: YEP. YOU DID IT AGAIN. Simple yet chic pieces that compose my ideal wardrobe? GOT IT. You want boots? THEY GOT BOOTS. You want bags? THEY GOT BAGS. You want clothes that will make you feel like a chic stylish woman who has her life together, despite all evidence to the contrary? THEY DEFINITELY GOT THAT. What I like about their clothes is they are aspirational yet attainable. (Side note for potential autobiography title: Aspirational yet attainable, the Story of Reshma Solanki.) When I see them, I think: Yeah, I could pull off that top and those high-waisted jeans. Layer on those bracelets. Give me a couple necklaces. I'M READY TO TAKE ON THE WORLD.

And here's the thing when it comes to my personal style: I'm not trendy. I mean, was there a time that I was very into track jackets and headbands and thought I was killing it? SURE. But the important thing is I learned from my mistakes. While I love reading blogs about fashion and seeing street style aficionados, what I've realized over the past few years is that I'm just never going to be someone who is fashion forward. And that is OK. In today's world where the new is old in literally five minutes, I find it overwhelming to try and keep up with every latest trend. Wait - ankle boots are out now? Kitten heels are back? What is a culotte and should I invest in one? THIS. IS. TOO. MUCH. I need an Olivia Pope sized wine glass to relax from stressing myself out. And that's not how anyone should approach getting dressed.

So here is my personal manifesto on fashion: I'm not going to wear something simply because other people say it is "in." I will wear what makes me feel good. Period, point blank. And this is why I love Sézane: all their pieces carry a since of timelessness and craftsmanship. I could keep them for years on end, and they would still be just as chic tomorrow as they are today. Which is the logic I will use when I am tempted to buy the whole website. I need to invest now in order to receive the maximum benefit of future returns. I may have been a marketing major, but I clearly understand finance. You're welcome. Call me anytime.
