Calling all Steve Kornacki Fans!
Now, when you read the title of this post, you may have thought to yourself "Am I a fan of who?" So, let me give you a little background: Steve Kornacki is an MSNBC host and political correspondent, and when election nights come around, there is nothing more riveting (BESIDES THE RESULTS) than watching Kornacki in his element: rolled up sleeves, disheveled hair and attacking that digital white board as he reports on swing district vote totals. You know how some people are into sports? Well, I'm not. But now I understand the nerves and excitement that come with watching someone excel in real time.
The way I was introduced to Steve Kornacki was not under the best of circumstances. I remember it vividly, though I'd prefer to forget. It was November 8, 2016, and let's just say things didn't turn out how we planned. (SPOILER: It's when Donald Trump got elected). The TV was tuned to MSNBC and the whiteboard was on fire. Mostly because it kept turning red when I wanted it to be blue. Kornacki was there all night. Constantly reporting as new vote totals came in, always maintaining his level of excitement. Even as the night wore on....and on....and on....until my face was permanently set as Kevin McAllister from Home Alone.
Even though that election was depressing, at least I got to witness Kornacki do the equivalent of a gymnastics dismount and stick the landing. Now, he's one of the best things I look forward to on any election night. Like a glass of Coke with the perfect soda to ice ratio, Steve's appearance is always refreshing. I mean, he manages to make reporting on vote tallies electrifying, so yeah, THAT'S WHAT I CALL TALENT, AMERICA. Now are you even more intrigued to see him in action? Well, you're in luck because he'll be covering the State of the Union this Tuesday. And here's a teaser. My final request is that everyone get a ticket and get on board the Kornacki Train. Because those sleeves aren't going to roll themselves. (I mean, they will, but you get the idea.)
